Kyoto's traditional crafts making might have a very high-end impression. Indeed, the work is so elegantly detailed that looking at it close in hands will be such a heart moving moment.

Kyo-no Tezukuri Taiken is a workshop that offers casual workshop in making such delicate products, such as lacquer craft, Yuzen textile golden dyeing, and Japanese bookbinding.

The best part about it is that the workshop is done in short hour, as fastest as an hour, so that travelers can drop in and experience the crafts making without worrying too much about time. There is even an option plan to have a special workshop at your choice of places such as your hotel.

Lacquer is one of Japan's representative crafts ware. The lacquer work of drawing patterns and decorating the item is truly beautiful.

Yuzen textile golden dyeing workshop offers a program to make book covers and small bags with your original clothes. Other programs are also available in making classic Japanese bookbinding, Kyoto style fan making, drawing on Kyoto style wooden box, etc.

Kyoto's crafts are not only beautiful to look at, but also strong in structure so that the beauty will last long. The products are very practical so that participants can enjoy them in their own lives, as well as to give it away as a special present.

Kyo-no Tezukuri Taiken offers a chance to create your own 'Kyoto' to bring back home with memories stuffed in.
