Great bistro restaurant beside Kamogawa River

Les Deux Garcons is a French bistro restaurant along the Kamogawa River, near the Kitaojii-Bashi Bridge. It's blue exterior appears impressive.
The interior is classic and sophisticated. 1st floor has a open space with a big window, and the 2nd somewhat more comfortingly with Japan-modern taste.
Les Deux Garcons was opened by Takuma Hasegawa, dining manager, and French chef, Hues Franck in July 2014. They had both worked in a French restaurant in Kyoto when they met. They fall in love with this building, of age 85 years!, and spent 5 months in turning it over to their diner. They spent quite some time in planning the details with carpenters everyday.
They serve casual french that children and adults can enjoy, like patty, roast chicken and carrot salad. Franck has a confidence in his delicious charcuteries, prepared meat such as ham and patty.
Recommended dinner is Roasted chicken from Tanba region (1,900 yen), gratinated potato (small 500 yen) and red wine T (600 yen~). If you are in two, you can add appetizer and share.
The foods are simple yet carefully cooked to bring out the rich taste.
I tried an organic glass wine (1,100 yen), rich in mineral, a popular wine among the customers.
Hasegawa wants to make this restaurant where 'a whole family can come and enjoy dining, from small babies to elderly.' They are now planning to increase the number of staff for better service.
You can enjoy the view of nature-rich Kamogawa River, the night scene of Kyoto and carefully cooked good food in this relaxing bistro.
