2016.04.22 FRIDAY

The entrance of Kyoto, Kyoto Station

  Only for a minute!

This is the stoppage time of ‘NOZOMI’, Shinkansen(a bullet train) at Kyoto station.

It is going to be extremely hard to have 200 foreign tourists get on a train.

*Kyoto tower photographed from a skyway at Kyoto station.

On the way to Kyoto station, I tell everyone on a bus that some of us might be missing the train since the stoppage time is extremely short. There is a buzz over the whole bus.

“What if we could not make it on time?”

“They don’t wait. They will leave you behind.”

Actually, the door won’t close right on time, but Kyoto station staffs will give you a rush like pushing hard enough to feel hurt and moreover, we don’t want affect the time table for the other people just because of us.

Their accurate service is one of the proud things that Japan has.

Once you start talking about this with a joke together, getting on a train within a minute is becoming something like a fun event.

I divide 200 people into each entrance and let everyone get on the train without any problems.

People are excited and enjoy getting on it within a time.

This is something fun that we don’t realize in a usual day.

Kyoto station is for a transit point to the others in you daily life, but surprisingly, they have a lot of wonderful spots that I sometimes introduce to independent tourists before the departure if there are some times.

A picture above, it is Kyoto tower viewing from a skyway. As a one of the viewpoints to see Kyoto tower, this is the strongest effect composition ever I see.

I still remember that there was a controversy when Kyoto station was built, and personally I did like the other designs, but Kyoto station is the entrance of Kyoto. I would like to find as many interesting places as possible and tell you widely how good Kyoto is.

Well, Japanese maple trees start having green leaves around in Kyoto City. Absolutely, Sakura season is amazing, but I like the time from the end of Sakura blooming till May the most.

Bright new green color everywhere and a number of different flowers blooming one after another. It makes me go out everyday because of the nice weather!
